RNaid^® Plus Spin Kit
For Isolation and Purification of Total RNA from Tissues and Cells Utilizing SPIN Modules.

The RNaid Plus SPIN Kit is the fast, convenient way to isolate RNA from cells and tissues. The kit contains all the reagents present in The RNaid Plus Kit, with the addition of SPIN Modules to further enhance the speed of the preparation and the purity and optical properties of the final product. As in the RNaid Plus Kit, this SPIN Kit contains additional reagents necessary for tissue lysis, followed by extraction and stabilization of RNA. After the initial lysis and extraction steps, the procedure closely follows the RNaid Kit protocol for isolation of RNA from solution.

The one hour protocol, in brief:

1. Cells or tissue are disrupted in lysing solution, with exact procedure depending on source.
2. Acid phenol extraction of lysate.
3. The upper phase is re-extracted with chloroform/isoamyl alcohol.
4. RNAMATRIX is added to bind RNA and the matrix/RNA complex is washed twice.
5. Purified RNA is eluted from RNAMATRIX with DEPC-treated water and separated from the matrix with a SPIN Filter.
