Universal Mini Gel Trays and Combs

The Mini Gel Trays and Combs have a number of design features that make them unique:

• Patented Paddlewheel Comb gives a choice of well configurations: 15 wells for screens, 10 wells for everyday analytical use; 5 wells for semi-preparative needs; and 1 for preparative runs when isolating large quantities of a band from agarose. The 1 large tooth comb also has a small tooth for running a marker.



• Pour gels directly in tray without tape or dams using 1 or 2 combs/tray. A distinct advantage to using this system is that there is no special apparatus for pouring gels, so many gels can be poured simultaneously. A week or month's worth of gels can be poured and stored in the refrigerator saving time.



• Because the Gel Tray is UV transparent, gels need not be removed from the tray to take pictures. This makes it easy to monitor progress of band migration without disturbing the gel and thus, completely eliminates the possibility of breaking the gel.
