Tired of watching small incubation tubes float out of their racks in the water bath? A typical incubation mixture of 50-200 ul simply doesn't provide enough weight to hold a 1.5 or 0.5 ml tube down in a loose-fitting rack. A tight-fitting hole, on the other hand, hinders rapid heat transfer. BIO 101's simple solution to this problem is the BioFloat, a floating polypropylene rack that holds microcentrifuge tubes upright and in full contact with the water bath. Numbered holes of different sizes make organization of a complex incubation experiment simple, and removable legs enable the entire experiment to be transferred to the bench at the end of the incubation.
