As with GENECLEAN^®, the speed and product purity of the MERmaid^® protocol can be further enhanced by the use of SPIN Modules. These convenient filters allow the GLASSFOG^®/DNA to be efficiently separated from the binding or wash solution in just seconds, obviating the necessity of removal of supernatant. All traces of the silica binding matrix is removed by the filter.
